National Amputee Conference

AMPed Up! is a wonderful opportunity to bring together the Australian amputee community; meet and network with peers, and make lifelong friendships.

Held on the bank of the River Torrens, the Adelaide Convention Centre is a purpose built, accessible facility which will perfectly cater to our needs.

The AMPed Up! Conference is designed to educate, encourage and empower all amputees and people with limb differences. You will gain valuable information to support your long-term goals, have insights to the latest in prosthetic and assistive technology, community supports and services.

With a huge exhibitor hall, this two-day action-packed conference will showcase Australian prosthetic manufacturing companies, assistive technology suppliers and devices, community and disability organisations, so come along and speak to company representatives.

We want you to leave with a greater education about your prosthetic options, health self-management, feel empowered to make choices and decisions about your life and encourage members of our community to live independent and fulfilled lives.

Conference program

The Conference Program will feature speakers from the amputee community and from across a range of sectors - all under the one roof. More information about the guest speakers and presenters will be updated shortly.

Location

The Adelaide Convention Centre is a purpose-built convention centre on the waterfront overlooking the River Torrens and located on North Terrace. It is conveniently positioned just a 15 minute drive from Adelaide airport and only a brief walk from the Adelaide train station and CBD.

The Convention Centre is an accessible venue with lift and ramp access for delegates and exhibitors.

Funding support and payment options

Limbs 4 Life hopes to secure some funding from the National Disability Conference fund to assist people who are currently on the aged or disability pension and over 65 years of age to attend.

If you are supported by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) you can include the cost of registration for Amp-ed Up! in your participant plan. Registration costs come under the ‘capacity building supports’ or from the ‘core supports’ area.

If you are NDIS plan or agency managed and require a tax invoice to send to your planner, please contact us and we will raise an invoice on your behalf.

Payment plan

Limbs 4 Life can offer a payment plan to assist you to attend. If you would like to learn more about this opportunity, please contact our office.
