Limbs 4 Life is excited to host AMP-ED Up! National Amputee Conference to be held in Melbourne 17 – 18 September 2021.

This conference will educate, encourage and empower you and provide amputee delegates (and their partners) with the opportunity to network with each other and gain valuable information to support your long-term goals.

Our 2019 conference proved to be a huge success and the 2021 conference will be even bigger, with more delegates and more exhibitors!

This two-day action-packed conference will bring together amputees, prosthetic manufacturing companies, assistive technology suppliers and a variety of speakers from a range of sectors - all under the one roof.

Delegates will have the opportunity to see the latest in prosthetic technology, hear from a variety of speakers, interact face-to-face with prosthetic providers, meet other amputees, listen to disability advocates, plus much more!

We want you to leave with a greater education about your prosthetic options, feel empowered to make choices and decisions about your life and encourage members of our community to live independent and fulfilled lives.

If you are supported by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) you can include the cost of registration for Amp-ed Up! in your participant plan. Registration costs come under the ‘capacity building supports’ or from your ‘core supports’ area.

Funding Assistance

If you are a person who receives the Disability Support Pension, or Age Support Pension Limbs 4 Life can provide funding assistance to support you to attend the conference.

Limbs 4 Life can fund:

  • Registration costs for 30 individuals (amputee or parent of a child with a limb difference) currently receiving the Disability Support Pension, Age Pension
  • $200 toward travel costs for 30 individuals to attend.

The Hyatt Place Event Centre is located on the site of Hyatt Place, at 1 Larkin Boulevard, Essendon Fields. This venue is located just 10 minutes from Melbourne Airport and 20 minutes from the CBD. The Hyatt Place Event Centre offers state of the art purpose build, accessible conference facilities.

Accessible accommodation is available at Hyatt Place. If you require an accessible room, please contact the venue directly on 03 9190 1234. Hyatt Place is offering reduce rates to conference delegates, please advise the venue that you will be attending Amp-ed Up! when making your booking.

Airport transfers

If you are travelling to Melbourne to attend Amp-ed Up and staying at Hyatt Place, there is a free airport shuttle which will take to from the airport to the hotel. Please notify the hotel that you require a pick-up when booking your accommodation.
